Location
Elsberry, Missouri is located 60 miles north of St. Louis or 60 miles south of Hannibal, Missouri (Mark Twain's boyhood home town) along scenic Missouri Highway 79. Elsberry is located at the intersection of Highway 79 and Highway B, which runs east-west through the center of town where it is called Broadway. Highway 79 parallels the Mississippi River (N-S), at some points just a few hundred feet away (Clarksville and Louisiana), at other points a few miles inland.
Directions
The Old Threshers fair grounds are located about six miles directly west of Elsberry just off Highway B where it intersects with Highway NN.
From Troy, take Highway 61 north to Highway B; turn right (east) and go about four miles to the intersection with Highway NN. Turn left (north). The entrance to the parking lot is about 200 feet north of Highway B on Highway NN.
Geographic coordinates for the grounds (pointed at the main entrance) are:
